Our Farm

Still Light Farm is located on Lopez Island off the northern coast of Washington State. Our forty-two-acre parcel is held in perpetuity by the Lopez Community Land Trust as part of their sustainable agriculture program, and we hold a ninety-nine-year lease on the property. Our mission is to offer resilient food and seeds to our community, using ecological practices that prioritize biodiversity. We love to grow plants through their full life cycle, which draws us to seeds and perennials. We grow seeds to eat (beans, lentils, chickpeas, oats, pumpkin seeds), seeds to plant, and medicinal herbs. Our crops are available seasonally by pre-order as the harvest comes in. In our family garden, we grow many perennial vegetables and fruits, and periodically sell starts and cuttings so others can grow them too. We also love to fill the late winter hunger gap, so you may find our overwintered brassicas on the San Juan Islands Food Hub.
